Year 1 of Remission: What's Next?

We just had our 4th clean PET scan in a row! Each time, we have this nagging feeling “what if this is the one?” But once again, God has been faithful to continue our time of rest and recovery. At the same time, He has been keeping us busy. Busy with kids, busy with our church, busy with our little farm… busy with LIFE.
We are getting into a rhythm these past couple months. Meal planning, taking care of the animals (horses, ducks, chickens, bunnies, and dogs), and homeschooling is officially in full swing. Braddock is learning addition, Reegan is memorizing 17th century history rhymes, and Waverly is struggling to color in the lines. Life is a recipe of little and big things. It’s cleaning fishy crackers out of the couch one minute and getting on the phone the next with someone in New York with a similar diagnosis to give advice and share our experience with fighting cancer.
These past few months, we have been mulling over where to go from here; wrestling with how to make sure to not box up what we’ve been through, put it on a shelf, and pretend like it never happened…but rather dig deep into our experience and use it to help others. We had an idea a couple months ago and have been working hard to pursue bringing that vision to life. We have a major announcement we are planning for October 15th that will explain more, but for now suffice it to say: We are SO excited about where God is taking us and what feels like one open door after another He is leading us through.
October 15th: mark it on your calendars and stay tuned :)
