Sorry for the Radio Silence!

In this case, silence is a good thing. We’ve had a quiet couple weeks. No drama, no ER visits, no existential crisis. Rachel’s symptoms haven’t been easy but they have been manageable. We are two thirds through the consolidation phase and the end is in sight. After this round, we will have another scan in February followed by the reattachment surgery in March. We met with the surgeon a couple weeks ago and he agrees with this plan, which is another checkbox on our way.

All in all, things seem to be lining up and we are getting into a good rhythm. Rachel spent some time yesterday out in the garden, prepping for another productive spring. The routine is medicine for our souls as we spend time with our kids, work on the property, complete little projects around the house, etc.

Thank you to everyone who has continued to pray for us and for those who have blessed us greatly with house cleaning, meals, watching our kids, and helping with house projects. It’s been 6 months since this all started and we continue to feel loved and carried through this by those around us.

I’m going to keep this short and sweet so I can get back to spending time with Rachel in the IV room!

P.S. Here are a few progress photos on one of the projects that has kept us busy over the past few weeks!
